Product Description
The EVERBESTEN Cold Storage Air Curtain creates a high-velocity airflow barrier across an open doorway.
It helps reduce cold-air loss and the entry of warm, humid air during frequent personnel, trolley and forklift traffic.
Reduces cold-air loss
Limits warm and humid air infiltration
Helps reduce condensation, fog and frost
Supports stable cold-room temperatures
Allows unobstructed traffic movement
Works with cold-room and high-speed doors
Customized for the doorway and temperature conditions
The air curtain is installed above or beside the cold-room entrance. Its fan system directs a controlled airflow across the entire opening.
This airflow separates the two temperature zones while allowing people and equipment to pass without a physical obstruction.
Correct air speed and direction are essential to ensure the airflow reaches the opposite side of the opening.
Cold storage warehouses & Food processing facilities
Chiller Rooms & Freezer Rooms
Pharmaceutical cold-chain areas & Temperature-controlled logistics centers
Cold-room passages with frequent traffic
Factor | Cold Storage Air Curtain | Commercial Air Curtain |
|---|---|---|
Main Purpose | Temperature and moisture separation | Comfort, dust and insect control |
Airflow | Selected for larger temperature differences | Moderate general-purpose airflow |
Application | Chillers, freezers and cold rooms | Shops, offices and commercial entrances |
Selection Requirements | Temperature, humidity and pressure difference | Mainly doorway size and height |
Door Integration | Often linked with cold-room doors | Usually independent operation |
A cold storage air curtain works best as part of a complete entrance system.
It can be combined with:
Insulated cold-room doors
High-speed freezer doors
PVC strip curtains
Automatic door controls
Door-position sensors
The physical door provides insulation when closed, while the air curtain reduces air exchange when the door is open.
The following items are selected according to the application:
Unit length
Air velocity and volume
Fan configuration
Horizontal or vertical installation
Manual or door-linked control
Electrical configuration
Mounting structure
Surface material and finish
Project-based air-curtain selection
Integration with cold-room and high-speed doors
Customized unit length and electrical configuration
Doorway and installation-layout evaluation
Production and electrical inspection
Installation drawings and technical guidance
Export packaging and project coordination
We evaluate the opening, temperature difference and traffic conditions before confirming the configuration.
Please provide:
Door opening width and height
Cold-room temperature
Temperature outside the cold room
Indoor and outdoor humidity
Installation position
Door type and opening frequency
Available power supply
Required control method
It is a fan-powered system that creates a controlled airflow barrier across a cold-room doorway.
No. It reduces air exchange while the opening is in use but does not provide the static insulation of a closed cold-room door.
It can help reduce the entry of warm, humid air and therefore limit condensation and frost. Actual performance depends on humidity, temperature difference and installation.
Yes, but the unit and installation method must be selected according to the freezer temperature and moisture conditions.
Yes. Door-linked operation allows the air curtain to start when the high-speed door opens.
The position depends on temperature, humidity, pressure difference and doorway conditions. It must be confirmed during project selection.
The airflow must cover the full width and height of the opening. Please provide the doorway dimensions and environmental data for selection.
Send us your doorway size, cold-room temperature and operating conditions. EVERBESTEN will recommend the appropriate installation layout, airflow and control configuration.
